I have exactly same problem. RPI5 + poe hat+ pineberry hat + samsung nvme ssd - test speed about 850MB/s but on freshly installed raspberry os lite 64bit with openmediavault is speed over smb only 3-4MB/s. My home network is built on ubiquiti devices, everything has gigabit speed so no bottleneck. I have not clue where should be problem and it is really annoying..
See my other treads about the same overall issue, but with different approach. I really tried anything. Only thing I didn't do yet is to automount the SSD. I tried before, but something went wrong every time, so I had to reinstall Raspbian. Therefore I mount it every time I boot the Pi.I didn't mess with my Pi for like a month now. I will soon again look into it hoping that some Raspbian updates solved the problem!
