You can certainly do that, but /etc/resolv.conf is an auto-generated file, so you've set yourself up for some hidden breakage if you change something later that causes NM to regenerate the file.Thanks @MiscBits for your help.
It wasn't necessary after all to use your tips.
Id didFilled the empty space withCode:
sudo nano /etc/resolv.conf
A reboot completed the resurrection of the DNS server.Code:
nameserver 192.168.2.254
The best and correct way to do this is as MiscBits said. Best to fix it and avoid a future "we told you so"
