They are "approximately" the same size (give or take a few 100 bytes).
And Irfanview says the width and height are the same. It shows a "almost black" image when I take it from the SSH.
I did try setting it up as a cron job to run a minute after boot, and that produced the same "black" image. So it really isn't an SSH issue.
