Update. Using display_rotate=3, I got it oriented correctly and it works. Sort of. Now it's forcing me to use 440x1280 instead of 440x1920, so I have huge black bars on each side of the desktop. There's no option to change it either, which is weird since it was set to 440x1920 in the config.txt file.
