I keep a Logitech C920 USB camera connected to a fixed USB 3 port on an RPi5 8GB with the latest Bookworm OS update. When I use tree /dev/v4l I can see that it is connected to two IDs: for example video0 and video1 which then I can use with fswebcam for example.
However, every time that I rebooted the RPi5, I found that these two IDs changed. So far I had seen them changed to video5 and video7 or video16 and video17. Is there any way to keep the video IDs of a USB webcam unchanged after each reboot?
