General discussion • Screen blanking from Bash

Morning,

Is there a way to turn screen blanking on and off from a Bash script?

I need a screen to go dark at around 4pm, vcgencmd has gone for a burton, so I'm thinking I simply disable screen blanking at 8am and fake a mouse movement or key press (no keyboard or mouse connected), and enable screen blanking at 4pm
