A Raspberry Pi Pico W microcontroller can trivially be configured to act as an IoT source device. It has a recommended price of 6 usd before local taxes and delivery. Perhaps that's not 'insane.'

No innovation there that would persuade me you had met a graduation requirement.




With that out of the way you will be free to concentrate on your research into blockchain coding, which seems to be the innovative part of your proposal that might gain you some credit if you persuade your examiners that you have understood it and been able to implement it.

But I have never 'understood' Crypto. I simply use it every day without question. So I can't help with that.



[OT:] I studied for, and eventually gained, a first degree while being in full-time employment. It isn't easy. But I found the non-examined benefits of determination and project-planning to be valuable in all sorts of unexpected ways in the rest of my career. Don't cheat yourself by looking for a short-cut.
