Sorry I didn't realise connect had its own board, it's quite far down the list. I don't think I've ever been that far down before.Just flagging this for move to the connect area.
But the desktop is mirrored so never closed, a terminal window in there stays there.
It is as you would see with a monitor.
In fact, hook a monitor up and you can see yourself moving around.
A terminal connection isn't, (the new option, nedign no desktop) as you're not back with the same command line prompt, info etc.
But I know less how this is working.
But it has finished things off for me, or I've been lucky.
Thanks for the information, that is interesting. I can't easily connect a monitor to the pi, so couldn't check myself. It's good to get it confirmed.
It seems that there would be no advantage to using SSH over using a terminal window on the desktop via rpi connect, and significant advantages in using the terminal window.
I will try and get the terminal window set up to my liking, I have very little experience of using it. I have been using xshell 7 and I've altered the fonts, colours etc to suit me, I've got quite used to it. The desktop terminal window is quite jarring but I suppose it'd only take a wee while to get used to it.
