No it is not, it will not work on the latest RaspberryPi OS and so probably not on newer Pi going forward.
If you stick to older Pi, like a Pi4 or Zero2W and legacy OS (bullseye), it is a really good choice, but not if you plan to use it int he future.
GpioZero uses whatever backend is currently working well, it will be lgpio for anything new.
There isn't really that much choice.
Some have patches to make it work (wiringpi has been made to work, rpi.gpio has a shim to replace it, pigpio has lg/rgpio etc.)
And I think Pimoroni has made their own one they now use.
