Hello there,
so basically I want to build a handheld console with a Raspberry Pi 5 to do some emulation. It should look somewhat like a Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck, with the screen in the middle and controllers on the sides.
Now I need some kind of controller that's split in half like the Nintendo Switch controllers but with a wired connection (ideally USB).
I've tried using the Switch controllers of a friend of mine, but connecting them via Bluetooth is a tedious process, and they are still very laggy when connected. Also, they still need to be charged and are around €80 here.
So I basically need a controller that is split in half with USB connection and the normal button/joystick layout (like PS2/3 or Xbox).
I remember watching a YouTube video showcasing such a controller, but I don't even know what to search for anymore.
Does anybody have a recommendation on a Product like this?
I appreciate your help!
tl;dr: I'm searching for a split controller, like the Nintendo Switch but with USB connection, for a Raspi Handheld I'm building.
