What a genius you are,il do this is things since pi1,if it freeze by reading flash drives then it's totally garbage,I'l throw it.I seriously think there should be a "disclaimer" on RPI boxes stating that it can not really replace a fully fledged desktop/laptop computer. As this thing gets more popular, some people might think or might be misled to think that it is the next big thing in computing, well in some ways it is actually, but definitely not in the way that you can "shrink" your computer like in the movie (Honey, I Shrunk the Kids). The publicity and advertising might be misleading.
Summary: It will freeze, if you try to do things on it that you can do on your mini tower PC which is like 10 times larger than this thing. It is basic physics.
No pi can replace desktop,nobody said that again you doing the clever without success,it's totally underpowered,
