The pre-event frame number is set to zero frames in motion. And the problem doesn't appear to happen if I stream motion with VLC over wifi on a daily basis. The first day I don't stream the problem with WLAN0 going south is back.

Is there a command (wget to /dev/null?) to request a frame from motion every hour or so on a linux host in the same network to try to keep the networking functional?
