I'm trying to migrate a Raspi 3b+ (running on SD-card) to a Raspi 5 (running from USB-SSD).

I have created a backup on my Raspi 3b+ using `image-backup`. I've dd'ed that image to the usb ssd, then disconnected the usb-ssd and connected it to the Raspi 5. I get the following error message: "Device-tree file "bcm2712-rpi-5-b.dtb" not found"

When checking on the Raspi 3b+, I can see that there's no such file in the `/boot` partition. There are other dtb files (e.g. "bcm2711-rpi-4-b.dtb"). How do I get the file for the Raspi 5? Is there some way to update the boot partition that is separate from the rest of the OS?

You might wish to try again with a fresh copy using rpi5-boot.

This will leave your Bullseye system intact but it will boot on a Raspberry Pi 5 (eliminating the mix-and-match system pidd described).
