I retrograded from bookworm to bullseye and no more problem
I did not like bookworm on my 4B so far
you could have also switched over to x11, which would have given you a lxde desktop instead of the default wayland/wayfire.
there's also the option of a lite install with what ever desktop you prefer.
bookworm is a much better base then bullseye, just takes a bit of effort.
custom example:
install raspberry os lite
after boot
