I have a pi 3 and a .net app I developed in Visual studio in 2019 that runs happily on my Pi 3, is stable and was very easy and quick to create. I used a Windows PC to develop and debug it, copied the debug folder to the Pi and using mono it runs.
My question is can this still be done on a PI 5? Because reading for several hours I am confused and bewildered trying to find out if this is still the case. I haven't been able to and it makes me think that all the web pages claiming to show you how to use mono to run winform apps on a pi are out of date. Am I wasting my time trying this route. I want to create a fairly simple gui app and have had some success with tkinter but it is not a replacement for the simplicity of using Visual Studio and mono.
I wonder if someone can help me out with this question.
