That sounds like a faster development cycle than the 30 seconds I wait between edits. After the code is working I compile one more time with the optimiser turned on and that takes even longer.Although both Chez and OCanl can do that, I'm not wasting time on standalone compilation. All my timings are byte-code and run from inside Emacs, therefore it is probably slightly slower than it should be.
For the record would it be possible to try compiling the OCaml source down to native machine code to see how much difference that makes?
