Automation, sensing and robotics • Re: Simple light level detector using photoresistor?

I ran into trouble with the system....
...
So I moved the RPiZero from the end of the house where it was located into my study/lab to hook up an oscilloscope to the capacitor and look at the waveforms.
But when in that location it would not connect to the WiFi network!
No matter what I did it did not show up.
So I could not connect and run the test code.

At the far location it connects to my WiFi via the AccessPoint sitting quite close to it, but when in the study it should connect to the same SSID but using the main router instead. It sits a meter or so from my lab table. Same SSID/Password of course.
I have checked wpa_supplicant now that it is in the far end and connected. It contains just the name of the SSID and the corresponding password, so why is it not connecting over here?

This is really driving me nuts, how can it refuse to connect to WiFi close to the main router when it happily connects when moved back to the faraway room with the AP? The AP sends connect requests over to the main router's DHCP server anyway, right?
Well, I saw another RPiZero closer to the study also not connecting anymore...
So I had a look at the router and it stated that there was a f/w update I could install, so I let it do that.
And after that was done the PiZero devices connected like they used to!
So something had gone haywire in the router apparently.
Now working again.
