Hello i am a seller/reseller of brand new raspberry pi's. I am only selling PI 5 on an online platform.
I would like to protect myself from situations where customers do a buy and switch scam: wherein they buy from my store, switch the contents of the new pi for a defective one, and return the pi to me claiming it was defective.
I know that the pi has a unique serial number (Unique enough for my case) that can be read on software but this involves opening the PI from the box, is there anyway to do this without opening the box.
I noticed that the pi 5 box on the side has some sort of a qr code, can anyone confirm if this is a good way of indicating uniqueness? I cant reallly check at of the moment since its been selling really fast, i only have 1 of the 8GB and 4GB models left so i cant compare. i know for sure the QR codes for 8 and 4 gb versions boxes are different.
Any ideas how to get somesort of unique ID of the PI inside the box without opening the box?
