Troubleshooting • SSH After Reboot Does Not Work

Hello All,

I'm a Raspberry Pi noob, and I could use some help. I'm attempting to set up a Raspberry Pi as a Bitcoin Node using this guide: https://github.com/kdmukai/raspi4_bitco ... me-ov-file

I'm following the instructions step-by-step, but I'm having an issue when I attempt to tell the Pi to boot up from my SSD rather than the SD card. Once I reboot I cannot ssh back into it. I've tried ssh with IP address showing on my router, but nothing ever happens. I don't even get a connection error. I enter

Code:

ssh user@raspberrypi.local
and nothing happens. Eventually I just have to ctrl + C to get back to the prompt. What's interesting is when I view the SSD on my Mac directly I notice that there is no ssh file anymore. I've tried adding it, but the result is the same.

Also potentially noteworthy after I change the part UUID I noticed that my SSD changed from boot to bootfs. I don't know if that makes a difference.

I'm using the recommended SATA data cable https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-10G ... en_US&th=1

and a Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SDD.

Does anyone have a solve for this other than reflashing the SD and SDD?
