thanks, occasionally they (the pi5's with official psus) will power back back on after a power failure, but it seems on blips of power or outages for a few seconds, they will stay at the red LED.
(nb- This is in contrast to 2x pi4b i have here, and the POE powered Pi5s here that seem to always power back on regardless of the type of outage). I do seem to find alot of posts about this issue specifically to the pi5.
to answer your 2nd question (all my pi5 run the exact same):
do you have usb_max_current_enable=1 set under /boot/firmware/config.txt (on your pi5 that power back on after outage)?
