The latest 'beta' version of the bootloader for Pi4 / Pi5 can be installed via "rpi-update". As state elsewhere we only recommend using "rpi-update" if you are happy to manually replace non-booting firmware / kernel images.
If there's no significant regressions reported about rpi-update version sthen we normally do an APT release for the bootloader. The "network-install" is already available via APT if you select "latest" bootloader in raspi-config on Pi5
