The two "FAT Read failed" messages means the Pi couldn't read part of the SD card - but it did manage the initial reading of the config.txt file. I would normally suspect a bad or failed card. But the fact the card(s) work in another Pi seem to indicate it isn't the card at fault.
Check the SD card socket, making sure it is clean inside and none of the pins inside it are bent or damaged. From what I recall the initial read uses a basic mode on the card which doesn't use all of the pins. After that it switches to a faster mode which requires all pins to be properly connected.
