Debian changed the method of setting the apt sources between Bookworm and Trixie, they went from ending in '.list' to ending in '.sources'. They both contain the same basic info, but in different ways.

If you have any files in /etc/apt that end in '.sources', I suggest you open them in your favourite editor (using sudo) and comment out all lines them (place a '#' at the start of each line).

Now open /etc/apt/sources.list and make it look like this:

Code:

deb http://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm main contrib non-free non-free-firmwaredeb http://deb.debian.org/debian-security/ bookworm-security main contrib non-free non-free-firmwaredeb http://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm-updates main contrib non-free non-free-firmwaredeb http://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm-backports main# Uncomment deb-src lines below then 'apt-get update' to enable 'apt-get source'#deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm main contrib non-free non-free-firmware#deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian-security/ bookworm-security main contrib non-free non-free-firmware#deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm-updates main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
Close and save the file

open /etc/apt/sources.list.d/raspi.list and make it look like this:

Code:

deb http://archive.raspberrypi.com/debian/ bookworm main# Uncomment line below then 'apt-get update' to enable 'apt-get source'#deb-src http://archive.raspberrypi.com/debian/ bookworm main
Close and save the file.

Run 'apt update' and everthing should be back to normal.
