Ok - i’m still in the early part of the learning curve regarding this tech, but i think i get the idea. My main question would then be how is this issue side-stepped in windows and apple OS? I know the unit works in both environments, so would there be a linux work around as well? Or, is this something to ask celestron regarding their firmware? I have a feeling the latter may be the more difficult route, they are less accomodating when you are not using ASCOM/windows…
Is there ’quirk’ that can be set in the linux kernel to bypass the stalling of the hci? I also read something about windows ’buffering’ data transfers which avoids stalling, but i’m still wrapping my head around these ideas. again, still learning, so please correct any misuse/misunderstandings of terms/concepts.
Again, the help is greatly appreciated.
