@avarvit

I agree 100%.
One thing to be taken into account also, is that Simon has A LOT on his plate.
Hopefully he will see the benefits.

Cheers
Speaking of which, it seems that he has some other keyboard layout switching functionality in the works (https://github.com/raspberrypi-ui/wf-pa ... e/kbswitch). From a quick look, this seems completely different though. It is based on raspi-config to do the actual change and I guess this happens at system configuration level (looks rather permanent to me). From the code, it also definitely does not look like it can track any key-combo-originating layout switching (like by pressing Alt-Shift or whatever you have). Note, this all is in a separate branch, not on master. It should not have come out as part of the release binaries yet.

BTW, it seems that Simon has also made a few commits to master, too (https://github.com/raspberrypi-ui/wf-pa ... ts/master/), and a new version 0.71 popped up today in my upgrade list (previous one from apt was 0.68??). I will merge these changes soon in my fork, too, so please bear with me. I will post again when it's done, so if you subscribe to this thread, you will notice.
