That made it more clear, thanksSay something went wrong in software and the GPIO got set to Output instead of Input. Then it got set High. Then someone pressed the switch connecting the 3.3V GPIO to 0V - bye bye GPIO or even Pi.is that R2 for protecting the GPIO pin from ground? and if so why?
The resistor is to protect against software/human errors.
