The computer does see the AP via the UniFi controller running on the rpi desktop 64-bit.
The issue is UniFI cannot adopt the AP. This error is caused when the AP receives no IP from a DHCP server. The AP then defaults to 192.168.1.20.
I would like to set the AP to a static IP rather than the AP using a DHCP which will change.
Unsure how to set the AP to static though, as pinging 192.168.1.20 from the rpi desktop 64-bit fails.
Noted how I need to install dnsmasq to setup a dhcp server for WLAN devices.
So, if the phone hotspot is the router, then I'm unsure how to set the rpi desktop 64-bit to a static ip.
Say static IP 192.168.1.130/24 and gateway ip? The rpi desktop 64-bit has an ip of inet 172.20.10.9/28 brd 172.20.10.15. Unsure if the rpi desktop 64-bit creates this ip from the mobile hotspot?
