I did read up quite a bit on the difference between the two cooling solutions. Seems that the case fan will do me for now. I think I may have to change to the active cooler once summer hits here. It's hot, and I don't have A/C in my office/tack room.
Any thoughts on removing the small heat sink should I decide to do so? I'm thinking it may be best to run it for a while to get the CPU heated up a bit, then carefully wiggle the small heat sink off.
Any thoughts or tricks learned by experience? I don't want to screw up the board by yanking the CPU off.
