Valid points. It seems like a good product.I said the same but I guess it depends on what one considers a Pi 500 to be, and whether one was, or would have been, happy with a Pi 400.Well, that been said, maybe my last comment on Pi500 as I will not get one for sure.
For those who saw the Pi 400 as suitable for their uses, a Pi 500 is about £30 more including VAT for a two-to-three times performance increase plus a doubling of RAM. That seems okay in my book, and a bundle may reduce that premium.
It's also a usable desktop replacement if you don't want SSD. And, if you do, it can be added via a USB adapter as per Pi 400.
The mark it doesn't hit is an integrated desktop replacement which includes SSD, but neither did the Pi 400. AIUI the Pi 500 can however fully exploit the higher speeds of official SD Cards.
So, while I said I wouldn't buy one because I am looking to have non-USB SSD, I can't criticise for what it is, what it offers.
Besides...It is designed for teenagers, not for old geezers like me. Model trains as well
