I've recently bought a cheap keyboard-and-mouse controller (KMC) to use for my Raspberry Pi 5 4GB. I've recently updated my pi using raspi-update (or upgrade?) to use the new boot system. Once I tested it out, it seemed like it did not work, however, on further testing I found out that the KMC only works within about 1,5 meters of the 2.4Ghz receiver.
I've tried both the USB 2.0, which is reliable at max 1,0-1,5m and stops working after 2.0m, and USB 3.0, which stops working after 30cm. I've tried using the KMC receiver in my PC and it worked just fine, even at the other end of the room or around the corner.
I've then tried using the USB-extender of both my mouse and keyboard, and plugged the KMC receiver in it, which worked well.
I then tried to use the 2.4Ghz receiver of my wireless keyboard (Keychron K1 Max) and wireless mouse (Logitech G502 Lightspeed), but its range on the RPI was short as well but not on PC (without USB-extender).
My question is, do I need to buy an additional USB-extender for this receiver, or are there some settings I could potentially mess with?
Thanks!
