I had a previous post asking this question (Sort of) and I got no reply so I'll try it from a different angle.
Is it possible to connect and control the Pi Cam and this motorized lens?

The reason I ask is that I have unobstructed view of a Hawks nest about a 1/2 mile away from my rooftop. I can see it clearly with a hi-power spotting scope. Even better with my daughter's telescope.
My goal is to use a smaller, remote-controlled camera that I can zoom in and out, Pan and Tilt and view all from the comfort of my office or living room.
My family loves watching these nature cams and the chance to have one ourselves would be a big hit in my household.
Having a fixed cam is an option, having the ability to zoom in and out and track them flying would be preferred.
I may be reaching too big since I'm not very technically savy.
